Bus Fire in Hollywood Cemetery

Department was flooded with calls about a tour bus on fire in Hollywood Cemetery near the 400 block of S. Cherry Street. Within minutes, Quint 6 arrived on scene to find a tour bus heavily involved in fire. Quint 6 command immediately requested a tanker. E-12, Foam/Tanker 8 and BC-2 were added to the assignment. The driver indicated that he was driving the bus and it just shut off. All passengers were able to escape the bus without injury. All units returned to service shortly before 19:00. The fire was a result of a mechanical problem.
