Chesterfield Public Schools cancels activities for Dec. 18-20

Because sleet and 5-12 inches of snow are predicted in central Virginia, all Chesterfield County Public Schools after-school activities are canceled for Dec. 18. Also, school buildings will be closed and all activities canceled on Dec. 19 and on Dec. 20. This includes Parks and Recreation events and worship services scheduled for any Chesterfield school.

Changes proposed in Capital Improvement Program

The Chesterfield County School Board received the Capital Improvement Program for fiscal years 2011-2015 during its meeting last night. The Capital Improvement Program is the school system’s master plan for building and maintaining facilities. The School Board reviews the CIP annually and sends the plan to the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors for funding approval.
