Local Charities Raise More Than $30,000 for New Park

The Beth Williams Field of Dreams Foundation and the Village of Midlothian Volunteer Coalition will present a check to Chesterfield County at the Board of Supervisor’s meeting on September 22 that will go towards a new park at the Watkins Annex. The funds are proceeds from the gala and auction the two organizations held to raise funds fro the new park. The two organization raised a combined total of more than $30,000 (including proceeds from the auction of a classic Mustang donated by local attorney Jim Williams).

Work on the park is expected to start this fall, including new state-of-the-art field lights, a completely re-worked playing field that will be irrigated, a new walking trail, plus landscaped and paved parking that with additional spaces.
