September is National Library Card Sign-up month. Now, more than ever, people depend on their libraries and librarians for financial information, computer and Internet access, books, DVDs, free programming and more.
Applying for a CCPL library card couldn’t be easier. It takes minutes to get full access to all our free services and materials!
Your library card is your gateway to free Internet and computer use, some free PC printouts daily, check-out privileges for books, magazines, music CDs, DVDs, and a full complement of 24/7 accessible databases in a myriad of subjects. Additionally, CCPL regularly offers story times, PC workshops, book discussion groups, readers’ advisory lists, community meeting rooms, and a terrific range of programs. Your library is proud to be a community place providing for the enrichment and enjoyment of people of all ages.
Library cards are issued to all Chesterfield County residents free of charge upon proof of residency. Agreements with many neighboring localities make it possible for Chesterfield residents to use other area libraries and for our neighbors to use Chesterfield libraries at no charge.
To get a library card, visit any Chesterfield County Public Library and fill out an application. Be sure to bring proof of address. You can also download and print your application to bring to a branch at library.chesterfield.gov.
