Unidentified Body Recovered From Submerged Vehicle

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Fire Department personnel are conducting a recovery operation for a submerged vehicle containing an unidentified body.
The vehicle was discovered in the Appomattox River adjacent to Interstate 95 on June 26th.
Officials said a citizen was fishing in the area, discovered the vehicle and then summoned authorities. No further details are available at this time.
